My name is Amie and I am a graphic and web designer. I chose this career because it is not only something I love to do but also something that encompasses the best of my skills to produce stunning results for my clients.

Many people are not aware of all of the things a designer can do for their business. Graphic designers plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communications problems. They utilize their talents to decide the most effective way to get a message across in print, electronic and film media by using a combination of color, type, photography, illustration, animation and layout. They develop the overall layout of your favorite magazines, newspapers, business stationery, corporate reports, websites, and even the sales ads in your Sunday newspaper. They also produce signs, product packaging, marketing brochures and business logos. Practically everywhere you look there is a designer behind it!

Graphic designers determine the needs of the client, the message the design should portray, and its appeal to customers or users. They consider many factors in planning and executing designs for the target audience and gather relevant information by meeting with clients, creative or art directors, and by performing their own research.
